MAFS Cheryl Caught Up In ANOTHER Drugs Scandal
It has been exactly TWO DAYS since ex-Married At First Sight contestant Cheryl Maitland made her new relationship public, but the 25-year-old is already under fire for her boyfriend's shady past.
Hours after posting a sweet loved-up snap captioned: "And then there was you", Cheryl's beau Dean Gibbs was revealed to be a disgraced former policeman - and has been convicted of trafficking drugs.
According to The Daily Mail, 30-year-old Dean pleaded guilty to trafficking and using cocaine and possession of steroids and ecstasy in 2013, receiving a one-year suspended sentence.
The following year, the former Victoria Police constable was handed another one-year suspended sentence, also for possessing and trafficking drugs, escaping what could have been 15 years jail time.
Cheryl has come out swinging since the news broke, telling fans to "shut the f*ck up" in a charged Instagram story.
"I think it needs to be said that everyone is their own person and can do as they please and if it has no direct impact on your life then shut the f*ck up and keep your opinions to yourself," the hairdresser wrote.
It's not the first time Cheryl has been embroiled in a drugs scandal; after her debut on the controversial reality show, a video of the former topless waitress doing lines of cocaine surfaced on the internet.
