Conor McGregor Finally Cleans Up Retirement Speculation.

Two days after he shocked the world with a tweet declaring he had retired from UFC fighting, the featherweight champion Conor McGregor has reversed his decision.

In a 651-word statement on Facebook he wrote in capital letters ''I AM NOT RETIRED''.

He starts the statement by saying ''I am paid to fight, I am not yet paid to promote. I have become lost in the game of promotion and forgot about the art of fighting. There comes a time when you need to stop handing out flyers and get back to the damn shop.''

McGregor goes on to say that he had asked for a slight adjustment to his schedule ''but it was denied'' by UFC officials.

He also noted that he is now open to fight Nate Diaz at UFC 200 on July 9 in Las Vegas and will fly to New York next week for a news conference at Madison Square Garden to promote his fight.

By refusing to be at 2PM Las Vegas press conference on Friday, he does not meet all the requirements for the fight to go ahead.

Speaking on Fox Sports, UFC President Dana White said ''Friday is not the first day of promotion. All of the fighters are here right now. He's missing stuff, the window is pretty much closed''.

Hopefully we get to see Conor fight real, real soon!
