Could This Man Save The Simpsons?

Is this the man who can save The Simpsons?

Just a week after Harry Shearer shocked fans by quitting the show, voice actor Brock Baker has put his hand up to play characters such as Mr Burns, Smithers and Reverend Lovejoy.

In a video uploaded to YouTube yesterday, Baker performs the voices of 14 Simpsons characters which were voiced by 71-year-old Shearer.

And fans of the long-running show are clearly impressed.

“Bloody Brilliant!” commented one YouTuber, “I reaaally hope you get hired, you’re amazing,” wrote another.

Simpsons fans were worried that Shearers departure could lead to the show’s demise, but

showrunner Al Jean quickly took to Twitter to reassure them that their beloved characters would not disappear from Springfield.

“The show will go on, made by people who love it and see in it the most wonderful vehicle for satire ever,” he wrote.
