Emma Watson Accused Of Exploiting Alan Rickman's Death

Twitter has erupted in outrage over Emma Watson's response to her friend and former co-star, Alan Rickman's death.

She tweeted this photo of him as tribute, with the caption #alanrickman.

The Alan Rickman quote on the photo said: "There is nothing wrong with a man being  feminist, I think it is to our mutual advantage. - Alan Rickman."

Users were outraged writing: “Wow, you're using the death of your friend to push your agenda. That's actually horrible."

And another tweeting: “He's not even cold and you're already using him to fuel the feminist agenda bandwagon? Not impressed. RIP Alan Rickman."

But some Twitter users defended Watson, saying she was paying tribute to a friend and sharing an inspiration in her life.

She has since posted similar tributes to Rickman on Twitter, with other inspirational quotes from her friend, which include his views on acting and success.

She wrote a longer tribute on Facebook yesterday.

I'm very sad to hear about Alan today. I feel so lucky to have worked and spent time with such a special man and actor. I'll really miss our conversations. RIP Alan. We love you
