Justice For Kesha In Rape Allegations
It’s been an ongoing saga for Kesha, after it was revealed that producer Dr. Luke had sexually assaulted her during her time working with him.
A distraught Kesha has shown up to several court appearances in order to prosecute him, with Sony failing to reprimand the producer.
Kelly Clarkson even spoke out on the Kyle and Jackie O show, describing Dr. Luke as ”not a good person”.
Now, although he is still yet to be reprimanded by the courts for the sexual assault allegations involving Kesha, Sony have finally decided to do the right thing.
Sony is expected to end its contract with producer Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald a year before its expiration, according to The Wrap.
Sony will likely terminate the contract due to the growing public pressures the label is facing amid the producer's legal battle with Kesha. The lawsuit has apparently become "a public relations headache" for the label.
"The fact that this hasn’t already been taken care of is confusing, especially for people in the building," a source told the website.
However, according to a tweet from Perez Hilton, Dr. Luke's lawyers say he's NOT getting dropped by the label.
This is their official response; "Luke has an excellent relationship with Sony. His representatives are in regular contact with executives at the highest levels at Sony, and this has never come up."
Even though the reps argue that Luke's relationship with Sony is "excellent," the label responded with a curt "no comment" when pressed on the situation.
We'll have to see how this one plays out!
