After having his battle with oral cancer made public by his friend Michael Douglas, Val Kilmer is reportedly doing well and continuing to work on several film projects as well as pursuing his successful sculpting career.

The star is planning to appear in Los Angeles later this month to help promote his film 'Cinema Twain' which is based on his live show.
Kilmer is also an accomplished sculptor and is currently displaying one of his works 'Tumbleweed' at a gallery in LA.
The piece is an actual tumbleweed dipped in 22k gold and has a pricetag of $US150,000.
Douglas made the revelation about Kilmer's health issues over the weekend.
“Val was a wonderful guy who is dealing with exactly what I had, and things don’t look too good for him,” said Douglas, who battled tongue cancer in 2010.
“My prayers are with him. That’s why you haven’t heard too much from Val lately.”

Rumours about Val having throat cancer began in 2015 after he was photographed with a breathing machine and tracheotomy tube.
He later denied the claims labelling them “totally untrue”.
