Michael Jackson's Chimp Bubbles Inspires Bizarre Film

Michael Jackson's pet chimp Bubbles is set to be the focus of a bizarre new movie about the King of Pop's weird life.

The ape went everywhere with the pop star throughout the 1980s and prompted screenwriter Isaac Adamson to dream up a script of what it would be like being Jacko's pet.

His Bubbles screenplay topped last year's Hollywood Black List of the best film ideas yet to be produced - and now the project is about to see the light of day.

Adamson's script has been acquired by Andrew Kortschak's End Cue and Dan Harmon's Starburns Industries, and it will be adapted for a stop-motion animated movie.

A description of the script reads: "A baby chimp is adopted by pop star Michael Jackson.

Narrating his own story, Bubbles the Chimp details his life within The King of Pop's inner circle through the scandals that later rocked Jackson's life and eventually led to Bubbles' release.

There are several conflicting reports of what became of Bubbles, but the general consensus is the ape lived out his days at a sanctuary in the US.
