One Of Our Favourites From Criminal Minds Is Leaving!

It's the end of an era. Shemar Moore will say goodbye to Criminal Minds after 11 seasons in the role of FBI special agent Derek Morgan.

At the end of his final episode, his character decides to leave thee BAU to focus more on his wife and baby.

In the past few episodes, Derek was abducted and tortured and nearly killed before finding out his girlfriend Savannah (Rochelle Aytes) was pregnant. After, they got married and then they welcomed their son, Hank, while Derek searched for who was responsible for the attack.

Seems like a pretty good reason for a character to bail, in our opinion.

"TONIGHT...I GIVE YOU MY HEART" ❤️❤️... Shemar 😘

Shemar's reason for leaving is kind of similar, minus the sadistic abduction/torturing part. He told TVLine he wants to "walk my dogs, travel, get married, have kids. I want balance, and it's hard to do with the schedule that we have."

"It's a weird experience," Moore told The Hollywood Reporter of his departure. "I just spent 11 years with a group of people and it's a weird thing to walk away from—but I did it on my terms and in the right way."
