The Hemsworth Brothers Were Brutal As Kids!
If you had older brothers growing up, this latest story from Liam Hemsworth might sound familiar!
Join Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, the youngest Hemsworth revealed his upbringing was “loving but mostly traumatic”.
“They used to put me in the dryer a lot,” he said before clarifying, “They wouldn’t put the heat on but they’d put me in there and then…”.
“I think they [my parents] just turned a blind eye to that sort of thing, they were like, ‘What are you going to do? They’re going to do what they’re going to do’.”
He also shared some of the Aussie stereotypes that drive him nuts when overseas.
“The worst is shrimp on the barbies,” he joked.
“We do have barbies, but we don’t call shrimp - shrimp, we call them prawns. And typically we don’t really barbecue prawns in Australia.”
However, there was one stereotype he wasn’t afraid of promoting.
Namely our deadly wildlife.
“Lots of deadly snakes, lots of deadly spiders, big sharks, big crocodiles and you know, you’ve got to fight your way through life,” he said.
Shame he didn’t mention those deadly drop bears…
