The World’s First Surviving Septuplets Just Turned 18!
In 1997 on November 19th, Bobbi McCaughey and her husband, Kenny made headlines, delivering the worlds first set of septuplets!
The Iowa couple welcomed to their family Kenny Jr., Alexis, Natalie, Kelsey, Nathan, Brandon and Joel.
Now, the septuplets have just celebrated their 18th birthday and are busy making life plans post graduation from Carlisle High School.
Brandon has enlisted in the Army starting June 1st while the other six have college plans.
Following the birth of their daughter Mikayla, Bobbi and Kenny pursued in vitro fertilization.
When the couple learned Bobbi was carrying seven embryos, the religious couple chose to keep them all.
The family live in a seven bedroom house that was donated to them when the kids were born.
"We consider us as best friends, not as brothers and sisters" Alexis told WICC. "And I'm really blessed that we've gotten to that point."
