This 4yo With Down's Syndrome Is Changing The Face Of Beauty
This 4-year-old girl is the new face of a back-to-school campaign in the US - and she has Down's syndrome.
Cora Slocum, from California, was chosen for the campaign after shoe company Livie & Luca teamed up with charity Changing The Face Of Beauty.
Together, they're aiming to change the way things are marketed to make them more inclusive of those with disabilities.
Changing The Face Of Beauty founder, Katie Driscoll is a photographer with a daughter who has Down's syndrome.
"Individuals with disabilities make up the largest minority in the world, yet they’re the least represented in our media," explained the mum-of-six.
Livie & Luca brand director, Brittany Suzuki told The Mighty Cora simply shined in front of the camera.
"During the photoshoot, you could tell Cora was born to shine in front of the camera. Her contagious joy filled the room," Suzuki said.
The co-founder of the brand, Amie Garcia told ABC7 News in the US: "She’s such a natural… You see her image in our catalogs and she just looks like she was born for it."
