Woman Gives Birth On Jetstar Flight.. Names It Just That!
A pregnant mother who gave birth on a flight from Sibgapore has named her son Jet Star in honour of the flight crew who helped her deliver the child.
Saw Jet Star was born during the three-hour Jetstar Asia flight from Singapore to Yangon, Burma on Friday.
It was lucky for the mother, whose family name is Star, that there were three doctors on board who helped the stewards guide the woman through labour and deliver the 2.9KG baby.
On arrival at Yangon Airport the pair were taken to the hospital and are said to be going great!
Jetstar Asia is said to be pleased that the pair are doing well and have offered the mother a $1,000 voucher in baby supplies to the new mum and flight vouchers to the doctors who helped during the birth.
A spokeswoman for the airline said they were ''proud of the way the crew assisted with the help of generous doctors to ensure a safe delivery of our youngest ever passenger.''
Jetstar currently allows women up to 40 weeks to travel with them on flights under four hours, however, anything longer and they must have a certificate when they are above 28 weeks.
