If you're one of those people who regularly buys a Powerball ticket hoping to strike it rich, then you may want to check your ticket.

Last night's lucky winner claimed the complete $35 million Powerball Division 1 jackpot draw! The even better news is that the ticket was bought in Canberra

NSW Lotteries is urging everyone who bought a ticket to check the results, as the person bought an unregistered ticket, which means there is no way they can be contacted.

NSW Lotteries Spokesperson Elissa Lewis says they hope the lucky winners are announced soon.

"We're hoping that they check their ticket soon and come forward soon, so that we can hear their story, and how their life will change now that they're $35 million richer," Lewis said.

"we urge you to put the entry in a safe place and contact NSW Lotteries on 13 18 68 as soon as possible to start the process of claiming your incredible prize."

What would you do with $35 million?
