The Brumbies have been dealt another blow, with Tomas Cubelli and Chris Alcock leaving the club.

Argentinean scrumb-half Cubelli will head back to South Africa to play for the Jaguares, while flanker Alcock heads to Japan to join the Kamaishi Seawaves.

“Both have been outstanding players for the club and have helped foster our culture off the field,” CEO Michael Thomson said.

“While we are sorry to see them both leave the club, we wish them both the very best of luck for the future and they are welcome back at the Brumbies at any time.”

There is some good news for Cubelli fans though..

He’s likely to play in front of a Canberra crowd one more time when Argentina takes on the Wallabies at GIO Stadium in September.
