The Brumbies head to New Zealand this week, preparing to face the Auckland Blues at Eden Park on Friday afternoon in what's tipped to be a tough clash.

Prop Allan Alaalatoa said the Brumbies have a lot to take out of last week's win over the Reds at GIO Stadium, and will be focusing on themselves heading into the match.

He said the Blues are in some good form, and every point counts with the tables so tight.

"For us, it's going to be a tough game and I think the win is going to be a huge ask but something that we all need to do. I think first and foremost, we will have to look at ourselves."

The 22-year-old said they'll be going into the match, looking at it as if it were a final.

"Every game heading towards the finals now is going to be a final for us. Blues in Auckland is always going to be a tough match so you can't be looking at trying to get the bonus point. We just have to look at getting the win first," Alaalatoa said.
