CANBERRA KEEPS UP THE FIGHT FOR ANNABELLE POTTS

Annabelle Potts may be coming home after receiving cancer treatment in Mexico, but the fight to keep Canberra’s warrior princess alive is far from over..

The local community’s already shown their generosity through a range of projects, like Annabelle’s Princess Playground.

But the mighty efforts of family and friends are continuing with new fundraisers, as money to pay for the expensive treatment Annabelle will still need in Mexico every six weeks, is running low.

It comes at a cost – with each treatment setting the family back about $23,000.

And that doesn’t even include flights, accommodation and other hospital expenses!

Belinda Keep and Megan Jones from Belles Cleaning are doing their bit to help.

They’ve promised to donate 10% of the total invoice billed from each new client to Annabelle’s family – with this to be ongoing for as long as they need help with expenses.

They’ve also vowed to donate $100,000 to Annabelle’s fund if a large company signs a two year contract with them and pays a portion of upfront.

You can find out more about Belinda and Megan’s initiative, by contacting them via email - belles.cleaning@yahoo.com.

Vicki Newman, who was touched by Annabelle’s story, has also been working hard in the kitchen to raise money.

She’s baking yummy cupcakes people can take to their workplace to sell for morning tea.

Several people have already put their hands, but Vicki’s keen to get more takers.

The fundraiser runs for one month, and you can help out by sending Vicki a message on Facebook.

Annabelle’s aunty Shannon is also selling wrist bands across Canberra, Harden and Bathurst for $2 each.

There’s heaps available - you can buy wrist bands or offer to sell them at your workplace or school!

A raffle is also being organised, with tickets going on sale in the next fortnight for $10.

They’ll be available at various businesses in Canberra and Murrumbateman, with ownership of an onsite caravan on the south coast up for grabs as the first prize!

If you’re keen to buy or sell raffle tickets or wrist bands, send Shannon an email – LFAfundraising@gmail.com.

You can also help Annabelle’s family by donating at the GoFundMe page or via PayPal.

Let’s keep the support going Canberra!
