One Canberran is $3.3 million richer thanks to a lucky lotto ticket.
The local public servant was one of three division winners in Oz Lotto draw 1209 on Tuesday April 18, with each taking home $3,333,333.34.
Now that’s a lot of digits!
The other division winners were from NSW and the Northern Territory.
The Canberra winner told a NSW Lotteries official, she had no idea about her win until she checked her ticket while grabbing a bite to eat.
“I came in to grab some lunch, check my ticket and get another ticket. So it’s been a pretty rewarding lunchbreak!” she joked.
“I think I need to pinch myself!”
She plans to use the money to help her family, among other things..
“I might retire early too. Travel is also certainly on the cards. I might go travelling and keep going until Christmas!”
The winner bought her 24-game QuickPick from Thistle Kiosk at Westfield Woden – which seems to be a lucky store!
“We’ve had a number of division one wins in recent years,” Owner Tania Dezman said.
“Congratulations to the winner! We hope they enjoy their prize!”
