COMMUNITY RALLIES BEHIND TERMINALLY ILL TODDLER
Canberrans know how to rally together when it counts.
And boy, have they done that today!
MIX 106.3’s Kristen and Rod have kick-started a community project to get a Princess Playground built for little Annabelle Potts.
The gorgeous 3-year-old was diagnosed with a highly aggressive brain tumour in December.
She’s currently undergoing radiation therapy in Sydney and her parents are looking into overseas clinical trials.
A Go Fund Me campaign to help the family has already raised nearly $80,000.
Given the strong community support, Kristen and Rod have stepped that up a notch.
Today, Annabelle’s parents shared their emotional story.
Then Kristen and Rod put the call out to the community, asking for locals to donate their time, skills and materials to build a Princess Playground, to surprise Annabelle and her family when they get home from Sydney.
Hundreds of Canberra tradies and business people have put their hands up to help.
The response has been incredible.
There’s still a few more things we need to make this extra special for Annabelle.
Listen to Kristen and Rod from 5:30am tomorrow to find out how you can help.
You can also register online.
Let’s do this Canberra. Let’s help this family and give this little angel something to smile about!
