It may have been six months since Connie Johnson passed away, but her legacy well and truly lives on!
Rutledge AV in partnership with the Love Your Sister Foundation is hosting a charity golf day on Thursday March 29, to help raise money for the charity.
Kristen & Wilko caught up with Connie’s Gold Logie award winning brother Samuel Johnson this morning about the event and what he’s been up to lately…
It came about after Canberra local Craig Glover promised Connie before she passed away, he’d raise $100,000 for the Love Your Sister Foundation.
An impressive $27,000 has been achieved so far!
On the day, Craig will tell his own cancer story about him being the first person to ever have a stem cell transplant at Canberra Hospital and how Connie inspired him to make a difference.
Players will complete nine holes of golf, Sam will tee off with every group of players, there’ll be breakfast and a two-course lunch and plenty of raffles!
Stacks of items will also be auctioned off, including signed and framed Canberra Raiders and ACT Brumbies 2018 jerseys, a home theatre system and more.
All the action kicks off at 7:30am on Thursday March 29 at the Gungahlin Lakes Golf Course.
