CROKER DEVASTATED TO MISS START OF SEASON

It’s going to be a tough few weeks for Raiders captain Jarrod Croker, as he recovers from a knee injury, and watches his mates hit the field without him.

The green machine skipper will miss the first three weeks of the season, possibly more, after dislocating his patella in last week’s All Stars game.

He told Kristen and Rod this morning, it’s a case of wait and see.

“I’m one of those guys who tries to play a bit earlier at not 100%, I’ve done that in the past and have been lucky to get away with it,” he said.

“But with a dislocated knee cap, I’ve never done it before, so I need to be 100% right.”

Recovery is at the forefront on Jarrod’s mind at the moment, as he sees the physio 6 or 7 times a day!

“It’s not ideal and it’s very frustrating for me. I haven’t missed many games of footy at all. Six weeks for me is going to feel like 12 months,” he said.

When Kristen asked the all important question of “will this give you more time to plan for the wedding?”.. Jarrod was straight up..

“It’s basically all done, Brittney has most of it sorted, I’m just sitting back paying the bills!”
