A Facebook post has helped track down the lucky Queanbeyan man who won $100,000 in last week’s lotto!

The man was the 1st price winner of Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10186 on Tuesday October 10, but since his entry was unregistered, NSW Lotteries had no way of contacting him directly.

But the lucky winner has since come forward and confirmed his win after seeing a social media post.

“It came up on Facebook from the Queanbeyan Age that someone in Queanbeyan had won the $100,000. I thought jesus, I’ve got a couple of tickets in that,” he said.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, said the money will come in handy.

“I’m going to invest the win for my future and my retirement. I don’t need to buy anything at the moment. I don’t need excess stuff,” he declared.

“I’m still working and have been doing a fair bit of overtime to save money, but now I don’t have to do so much!”

The winner, who only started buying Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot entries earlier this year, bought his winning ticket from Queanbeyan City Newsagency.

Staff member Mark Cantwell said he was ecstatic to have sold the winning entry and see the winner finally united with his prize.

“Our customers have been excited that we have a winner in town and we wish the winner all the very best with their prize!”
