HAIGH’S CHOCOLATES OPENS IN CANBERRA!
Local chocolate lovers waited in long queues this morning to get their hands on some mouth-watering Haigh’s treats!
Australia’s oldest family-owned chocolate maker, Haigh’s Chocolates, has opened its first ACT store in the new Monaro Mall shopping precinct of the Canberra Centre.
The first 100 through the doors this morning received a free giant superfrog! Yum!
Haigh’s Chocolates Marketing Manager Fiona Krawczyk said they’ve had a fantastic reception so far.
“We’re truly thankful to everyone who’s already come down and visited us and bought some of our delicious chocolate, it’s been tremendous.”
Chief Executive Alister Haigh said they’re excited to be part of the Canberra Centre’s multimillion dollar transformation.
“The new store will allow us to meet demand for our chocolate in a high-end retail setting in Canberra.”
Haigh’s Chocolates is not just rich in taste but also rich in history – founded in Adelaide in 1915 by Alfred Haigh.
The company produced over 750 tonne of chocolate just last year!
Canberra’s one of 16 Haigh’s company-owned stores, with others in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and online.
Haigh’s is just one of several stores that have opened their doors at the Canberra Centre’s new lifestyle and homewares precinct, with others including Husk, Le Creuset, Les Nereides, Gewurzhaus, Top3 By Design and The Pen Boutique.
And to celebrate the Canberra opening of Haigh’s, there’s FREE chocolate tasting all day!
