HAVE YOUR SAY ON SPEEDING IN CANBERRA

Love ‘em or hate ‘em, the ACT Government wants to hear your thoughts on speed cameras in the capital!

A new survey’s been launched by the Monash University Accident Research Centre.

It asks locals questions like how fast people should be allowed to drive without being booked, and if the speed limit should be reduced to 40 km/h in residential areas.

The ACT Government will use the information to try to stop people from speeding and running red lights.

“The evidence is clear – speeding remains a serious cause of death and injury on our roads,” Road Safety Minister, Shane Rattenbury, said.

“We want to know about the community’s awareness of, and attitudes to, our efforts to curb these dangers – and how we can continue to deter people from speeding and running red lights.”

The community feedback will also help the Monash University Accident Research Centre in their evaluation of Canberra’s road safety camera program.

Have your say by completing the survey online!

Feedback closes on March 30, 2018.
