A man was rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds to his legs after another bikie-related shooting in Canberra’s south overnight.
Police were called to a home in Pinkerton Circuit, Kambah, at around 10:15pm.
Acting Superintendent Matt Reynolds said a group of men broke into the house, before the shots were fired.
“The male victim sustained two gunshot injuries to his legs and was transported to Canberra Hospital where he’s undergoing treatment.”
A woman and a young child were also home at the time.
It’s the latest in a spate of bikie-related shootings in Canberra’s south in recent months.
“We don’t know what the feud is about. We believe this person was related to the Nomads Outlaw Motorcycle Gang,” Acting Superintendent Reynolds said.
“ACT Policing would like to assure the ACT community that this was a targeted incident and ACT Policing are working hard to ensure the community is safe.”
Taskforce Nemesis is investigating all of the shootings, but no arrests have been made at this stage.
Police are urging anyone who saw anything suspicious or cars driving fast in Kambah around 10pm last night, to come forward.
“Any piece of information is important and crucial to this investigation, any small piece of information will be of assistance,” Acting Superintendent Reynolds said.
Anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage is also urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
