THREDBO SNOW REPORT - AUGUST 10

It’s been a winter wonderland in Thredbo this week. The Blizzard of Oz brought us well over a metre of snow across the resort and it’s been like living in a real-life snow globe!
After the weekend of snow, the powder days were insane with fresh, dry, deep stashes to be found almost everywhere you looked on the mountain, with extra windblown snow up the top of the mountain from the strong winds.
The last two days have seen beautiful blue, clear weather with loads of sun and it’s been heavenly out there enjoying the incredible snow conditions. It’s another gorgeous day here today – partly cloudy with some lovely blue sky and moderate to strong winds…definitely one for the extra layers!
Both the on and off-piste skiing is fantastic. Some of the best powder spots this week have been Michael’s Mistake, around Central Spur area and the Bluff. For the intermediates, there’s been plenty of lovely blue and green groomers to explore up at the Cruiser area and of course there has been plenty of fun for the beginners at Friday Flat.
We’re looking forward to another week of fun with all 14 lifts open, 3 terrain parks and more snow in the forecast.
