THREDBO SNOW REPORT - AUGUST 17

In Thredbo we’ve had 15cm of fresh snow up the top overnight with more on the way! With 5-10cm at mid station, today is going to be a fun day.
Winds are moderate, bringing in some drifty patches to play in up high. Conditions are nice and light and dry at the top, a little wetter on the lower slopes. It’s going to be an adventurous day out there, a good day to rug up, get out the all-weather gear and get amongst the fresh powder.
With temps set to cool down over the weekend and snow showers in the forecast, this could be the Blizzard of Oz 2.0…get excited!
We’ve had a great week out on the mountain this week, there’s been some awesome riding especially up the top around Antons T-Bar and the Basin area which have been great spots to catch the drifty snow when the winds have been up, and the Cruiser area has been a solid pick for the intermediates.
With a nice dusting of snow yesterday up the top, Micheal’s Mistake and High Noon were the picks for the keen shredders, who can look forward to another awesome weekend of fresh snow riding.
