THREDBO SNOW REPORT - SEPTEMBER 7

In Thredbo today we’ve had yet another awesome powder day. There’s been over 140cm of fresh snow since Monday and the conditions are just unreal – it hasn’t stopped snowing so the whole mountain is covered in light dry powder.
The on and off piste skiing has been excellent with all the fresh snow. The village, the roads and of course all the cars are covered and it’s looking like a winter wonderland. Temperatures have stayed cool, winds have been strong and visibility low, but that hasn’t got in the way of some of the deepest powder shredding we’ve had in years.
The picks this week were the Golf Course Bowl, Bushrangers and Micheal’s Mistake. Even Friday flat has been powdery and lovely for the beginners and first timers. 3 terrain parks and 14 lifts open however some lifts have been on windhold.
The snow looks like it’s here for another few days, however we’ve seen a few breaks of sun today and it’s looking like we might get a clear day on Sunday. As for spring skiing, let alone skiing in Australia full stop – this is some of the best we’ve seen and there’s still several weeks left to get down here and enjoy it.
