SANTAS IN SPEEDOS RAISE 135K FOR CYSTIC FIBROSIS
Around 100 locals donned their red speedos and Santa hats, and braved the Canberra cold to raise money for a good cause on Sunday.
Organisers say the Santa Speedo Shuffle around Lake Burley Griffin yesterday was a huge success, with more than $135,000 raised so far online, for Canberrans living with Cystic Fibrosis.
Executive Officer for Cystic Fibrosis ACT, Heidi Prowse said they were thrilled with the support.
"All of our donation pages are open until the end of August, so we are quietly hoping that maybe we'll even crack $150,000."
The funds go towards practical support for locals, to help them with their care and treatment.
