An 18-year-old man has been charged after a stolen car crashed near Cooma.

About 8:50am on Sunday March 26, an 18-year-old was driving a Nissan sedan along the Monaro Highway, about 7km north of Cooma, when it left the road and rolled.

The driver and two of the passengers, aged 17 and 14, were taken to Cooma Hospital, and have since been released.

Another passenger, a 14-year-old girl, was airlifted to Canberra Hospital with a fractured spine.

It turns out, the car had been stolen from the ACT on Saturday March 25, and had been involved in several offences between Canberra and Eden since then.

The driver has copped a number of charges, including dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.

His licence was suspended.

The 18-year-old has been given conditional bail to front Cooma Local Court on Wednesday May 17.
