He’s known as the bad boy of tennis who’s always getting in trouble for something he’s said or done – like mouth off at a ref or spectator, or some other form of unsportsmanlike conduct.

But in an unexpected change of events, another tennis star is in the spotlight again – but this time, it’s not Nick Kyrgios!

A fortunate bounce was all that prevented Daria Gavrilova from being disqualified, after she dropped serve and flung her racquet towards the net – narrowly missing two ball boys.

The incident happened at the WTA event in Mexico.

Kyrgios has tweeted he would have been banned for six years and been in every paper and news channel for the next month, if he’d done the same thing.

It’s attracted a range of responses on Twitter, with many echoing the same thoughts as Kyrgios!

Do you think Kyrgios makes a fair point? Have your say at our Facebook page!
