TWO WORKERS RESCUED FROM CHERRY PICKER IN MAWSON

Two workers have been rescued by local firefighters, after becoming stuck about seven metres up in the air in a cherry picker in Mawson on Sunday night.

 

ACT Fire and Rescue were called out to Wilkins Street around 6.30pm, to find the men in the bucket of the cherry picker near active powerlines.

 

The men were safely brought down to the ground by 7.15pm.

 

The incident was reported to WorkCover ACT.
