Canberra’s just had the wettest March in four years and now we’re waiting for the usual cold snap to kick in!

Some might say it already has, given the chilly mornings Canberra’s had over the past week.

"This morning has dropped down to 6 degrees and that's what we're expecting for the next three or four mornings,” Weatherzone meteorologist Rob Sharpe said.

“Sunday morning will be a bit warmer as there's a cold front coming through so a bit of extra wind that'll keep the temperature up Saturday night into Sunday."

But we’re being told to prepare for much colder weather, which usually kicks in around Anzac Day.

“Behind that cold front it'll drop down to 4 on Monday morning but I'd say Anzac Day is a reasonable guide for when it gets a fair bit colder and we start to see those mornings get close to freezing."
