Young Man Dies in Lady Denman Crash
We're being urged to take it easy on our roads, following the death of a 23-year-old motorcyclist who was in a crash while travelling along Lady Denman Drive this morning.
Emergencies crews were alerted to the accident shortly after 8:30am this morning. Where it’s believed the motorcycle collided with a BMW travelling in the opposite direction, investigations are underway looking into the cause of the crash, with the road closing for several hours following the incident so a report could be produced for the coroner.
Station Sergeant Stephen Booth says it's a sad day for the community.
"No one likes going to these jobs or having to investigate it, we've got a very experienced and professional team that comes out to them, and yeah not a good day for anybody," Booth said.
The death is the 6th on ACT roads this year.
