Gas Cooker Recalled Over Explosion Fears

A recall has been issued for the Bosch Freestanding Gas/Electric Cooker over fears it may cause an explosion.

The 60cm model manufactured in Turkey between January 2009 and October 2011 has a dual fuel cooker with electric oven and gas cooktop.

According to the recall notice, there are concerns that the adapter between the gas supply and the appliance may crack causing a potential gas leak.

Customers are advised to immediately check the appliance rating plate for the Model Number (E-NR) and Batch Number (FD) and then check their appliance at gascookingsafety.com to see if it is an affected model.

All affected models should have the gas supply immediately shut off.

A toll-free helpline (1300 955 742) has been set up to schedule repairs.
