The Australian Swimsuit More Than 500 Women Queued To Buy
Australian beaches can often be a strange sight. Kids covered from head to toe in rashies, sun cream, hats and sunglasses, while their parents swan around in speedos and bikinis.
Well, that’s all about to change thanks to designer Carly Brown who’s created some sun-safe swimwear for mums that you'll want to be seen in.
The Brisbane based designer has launched Une Piece and she’s hit the nail on the head. The goregous bathers have been dubbed the sexy rashie and there's already a waiting list of more than 500 women who want to get their hands on one.
“The seed for the Une Piece was planted during my time on the beach in Europe,” Carly Brown told news.com.au.
“I felt more confident and beautiful in a one piece but I couldn’t really find something that suited me ... I wanted something that was elegant, flattering and made from good quality fabric.
“It’s always been a challenge to cover up from the sun, and yet feel sexy.
“The Une Piece allows women to cover their back and shoulders, and choose the level of sun protection on their chest. The high quality Italian fabric ensures a shape-defining yet comfortable fit,” she continued.
Unlike rashies which have four pieces, the Une Piece has 28 pieces which helps it contour to the body. The bathers which are manufactured in Australia range from size 6 to 16 and work on so many different shapes and sizes.
The fabric comes in white, red, navy and black and feature a UV rating of 50+. While $195 might be pricey for some, being sun safe and looking that good while doing it is kind of worth it.
