Why A Designer Bag Might Be A Better Investment Than Stocks
A Hermès Birkin bag has always been one of the most coveted fashion accessories in the world.
It even featured over an entire episode of Sex and The City, with Samantha losing the run of herself while attempting to get her hands on one.
The Birkin has become a sort of status symbol, often seen dangling from the arms of the rich and famous.
And now it seems that the enormous amount of money spent on these bags was actually a good investment!
A recent study conducted by Baghunter, a website that sells luxury handbags, (so it may not be the most impartial of studies!) found that the designer bag is a less risky investment than buying gold or even entering the stock market.
Gold and stocks go up and down in value all the time, but the value of a Birkin bag just keeps rising.
Last year one of the iconic bags sold at auction for a record price of $223,000!
But it ain't easy to get your hands on one, apart from the astronomical price, there's a years-long waiting list for a brand new Birkin.
