Andrew Fifita Fined $20,000 For Support Of One-Punch Killer

Controversial Cronulla Sharks player Andrew Fifita has copped a $20,000 fine from the NRL for his on-field support of convicted one-punch killer Kieran Loveridge.

On several occasions last season, the player was seen playing with the message ‘FKL’ on his wrist, believed to stand for ‘Free Kieran Loveridge.’

The 27-year-old forward was issued with a breach notice last week, and warned that another slip-up could result in him being de-registered from the sport.

Fifita was the subject of a lengthy NRL integrity unit investigation over his relationship with the convicted killer, who is believed to be a childhood friend of his.

Loveridge was sentenced to 10-years jail time for the unprovoked drunken one-punch killing of Thomas Kelly in Kings Cross in 2012.
