Carrie Bickmore Launches Charity Music Festival BrainBeats
Music festivals are a staple in Australia over Summer.
But Carrie Bickmore just launched a music event with a difference. And there's more than just good music to like about this one.
As a way of launching her new charity 'Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer', she is holding an exclusive music extravaganza with all proceeds going towards the cause.
Fundraising for brain cancer is close to The Project host's heart after her husband died of the terrible disease in 2010.
She touched our hearts in a moving speech during her Logies acceptance speech but the TV personality obviously is not just complacent leaving it at that.
With a $1 million aim, we're excited to see juts how quickly the foundation can reach that goal.
The concert will be held in Melbourne on December 6th 2015 at the Margret Court Arena.
With headline acts such as Ed Sheeran, Vancee Joy, Rudimental, Bliss n Eso and Passenger there is something for everyone.
Comedians Dave Hughes and Peter Hellier are also on board to help the cause.
While tickets will set you back $395 for general admission, food and beverages are included - on top of the thought that you are contributing to a very worthy cause.
VIP tickets are also available at a higher price.
We can't wait to see the generosity of our nation come to the forefront and see awareness raised for this debilitating disease.
