Dreamworld May Not Re-Open Tomorrow
Confusion is surrounding the re-opening of Dreamworld.
Yesterday the park announced in a statement that it was set to open its doors again on Friday, just three days after four people lost their lives on an amusement ride.
Queensland Premier Anastasia Palaszcuk this afternoon said Police Commissioner Ian Stewart and Dreamworld would later that day discuss the timing of the park's reopening.
"The police commissioner and the organisation will be having a conversation and it is up to those parties to make that decision," she said.
"We have specialist police working around the clock to find out what went so horribly wrong. "We need to allow police to do their job."
Police Assistant Commissioner Brian Codd said police were not going to compromise their investigation to leave the park in time for a reopening.
