Former NRL star found dead

The NRL has been rocked, after the dead body of former player Chad Robinson was found by electrical workers in a vehicle in Sydney’s west on Thursday.

Tradesmen working in the area located the silver Suburu Outback belonging to Chad, 36, situated at the bottom of a gorge in bushland at Kenthurst - just 13kms from his home where he went missing from almost a month ago.

Although police are still in the process of formally identifying the body, the father-of-two’s family confirmed the devastating news on the Facebook page which had been created to assist the search to find him.

Police are still trying to piece together Chad’s final movements.

The former Parramatta Eels star went missing from his home in Crestview Avenue, Kellyville on November 26.

The Hills Local Area Command had been investigating Chad’s disappearance for a number of weeks, after they had failed to locate him or his vehicle.

A number of NRL stars also led a widespread social media campaign, including Chad’s former teammate Paul Gallen and Footy Show star Beau Ryan.

Numerous rugby league identities have taken to social media to share their condolences, including NRL chief Todd Greenberg
