All four passengers are reported to have died on a ride at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, according to Nine News.

Early reports have indicated the incident has take place on Thunder River Rapids Ride.

It is reported that a mechanic belt is the cause of the incident.

People did escape, the number of injuries is unclear.

Emergency services are on scene and the park is now closed.
