Malcolm Turnbull Set To Challenge Tony Abbott
Malcolm Turnbull has confirmed that he will be challenging Tony Abbott for the Liberal Party leadership.
The pair reportedly met this afternoon. Deputy leader Julie Bishop also met with Mr Abbott.
The meetings are understood to have happened before Question Time.
Mr Turnbull addressed a press conference in Canberra this afternoon saying that it had become clear Mr Abbott was not "capable" of the "economic leadership" needed to run the country.
"It is clear that the people have made up their mind about Mr Abbott's leadership" he said.
"We have to made a change for our country's sake, for the Government's sake and for the party's sake."
