FINALLY Confirmed: ‘Nice’ Women Make Far Less Money
Remember the recent study that confirmed that the gender pay gap is alive and well? Yeah, that one. Well, there’s more CRAPPY news for gals in the workforce as a new study published in the European Journal of Work and Organisational Psychology found that ‘nice women’ earn LESS money that their coworkers.
Not only were ‘more agreeable’ women in the study found to be earning less, but they even believed that they were “earning more than they deserved” says Michael Biron, a researcher in the study. EYE ROLL.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, the study also claims that women who are considered to have more ‘dominant’ and ‘aggressive’ personalities put less effort into their work but, wait for it…. still earn more than ‘nice’ women.
Now, ready for the real kicker? This depressing study tells us that these ‘pushy’ women who earn more than ‘nice women’ are still making less money than the ‘nice men’.
