Qantas Flight From Melbourne To Dubai Lands In Sydney

A Qantas A380 plane that was en-route from Melbourne to Dubai has been forced to land in Sydney due to a mechanical issue.

A spokesman for the airlines said that engine vibrations were higher than normal, prompting a decision to land in Sydney where a replacement plane will be sourced.

The A380 landed at 6:50AM.

Flight QF9 departed at 10:40PM but ended up turning back over South Australia.

The plane reportedly did low level circuits until the curfew at Sydney airport had ended.

There were 410 passengers on board.
