Records Set To Be Broken As Australia Braces For Bad Weather

Make the most of the sun as it’s about to disappear.

Most of the country can expect to receive massive rain fall in the next couple of days as a cold front moves over South Australia before hitting Victoria, NSW, Tasmania and South Australia.

The worst of the weather is expected to hit the east coast this evening but it has already hit northern parts of the country.

Meteorologists are warning the rain is likely to hang around until Friday and even further into the weekend.

South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and southern New South Wales are likely to receive up to 10-20mm from today, and even more in some regions.

Senior forecaster at the Beurau of Meteorology operations centre Jenny Sturrock said the rain records are being broken across the country,

“Currently across Queensland, NSW, VIC and TAS there are 27 flood warnings current which includes four at major flood levels,” she said.

“In addition to these warnings, a flood watch is current for parts of the NT.”

Looks like we are settling in for another great weekend...
