10 - National Capital Exhibition
The National Capital Exhibition tells the Story of Canberra as the capital city of Australia. Head along to learn more about your National Capital, with the exhibition including a short film introducing the story of Canberra, as well as films on the day the Capital was named Canberra and the construction of Lake Burley Griffin.

9 – Heath Ledger: A Life In Pictures
Check out this new free exhibition celebrating the life and work of one of Australia’s most acclaimed and beloved actors. Explore film costumes and props, Heath’s own character research journals, celebrity portraits, acting awards, costumes, a number of rare objects and more! Curated in collaboration with his family, this exhibition offers a rare insight into the man behind the camera.

8 – Christmas in Canberra
‘Red Nose’ Christmas Lights are on display at the Canberra Miniature Railway in Symonston. Enjoy amazing lighting displays and miniature railway rides, culminating in a spectacular light show. Entry includes unlimited train rides, live entertainment on stage, fantastic light displays and for the kids, use of a giant train themed jumping castle/slide and the opportunity to meet Santa in his new Grotto.

7 – Get Set Games Charity Challenge
The chance to play against Nick Kyrgios is on the line this weekend! Get Set Tennis have partnered with the NK Foundation for a fun filled epic day of games, prizes, teamwork and laughter for kids aged 5-17. All money raised will be donated to the NK Foundation which helps give kids a sporting chance. Those who haven’t entered the comp to play Nick Kyrgios can still go along, enjoy the fun, try the obstacle course and watch Nick train!

6 – Christmas lights
There’s a huge array of Christmas light displays around Canberra! Some of the must sees include 32 Elia Ware Crescent Bonner, Stacy St Gowrie, 59 Amagula Ave Ngunnawal, Fingleton Crescent Gordon and more! One of the special displays is 17 Delma View Gungahlin – raising funds for paediatric brain tumour research. It’s in honour of beloved Canberra girl Dainere Anthoney, who passed away in 2013. There’ll be fun activities, Santa visits, lucky dips, photo opportunities and some special surprises!

5 – Christmas Carols in the Park
Sing a song of Christmas cheer and warm up your festive spirit at Googong’s special Christmas Carols in the Park! Pick up your free song book and join The Sisters and Brothers Community Choir to sing along to all your favourite carols as the John Agnew Brass Band adds a swing to the night. The man in red will arrive in style – on a Jerrabomberra Creek Fire truck! Bundle up your friends and family, pack a picnic or buy some tasty treats on-site.

4 - UC Capitals vs Perth Lynx
A game not to be missed! The Caps will wear Indigenous-designed uniforms for the inaugural Indigenous round. They enter round 10 on a high after thrashing Bendigo by 31 points. The Lynx and Caps have been neck and neck for most of the season, so it’s expected to be an entertaining and competitive match!

1 - Merry and Bright: Christmas in Civic
