Chicago's Ex-Drummer Begs Peter Cetera to Reconsider

Former Chicago drummer Danny Seraphine has reached out to Peter Cetera in an effort to get the band's onetime singer and bassist to change his mind about attending the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on April 8th in Brooklyn, New York.

Seraphine writes on Facebook: "Man, I hope you decide to perform with our band Chicago one last time with me at the band's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It would mean the world to me; to all our wonderful fans, and, in the end, I believe it would to you as well. Take this rare opportunity to end all this bad blood between us and celebrate the great legacy of music we all created together that has endured the test of time for 49 years. We owe this to our fans and the music."

Cetera initially said he would be there and suggested the band perform "25 or 6 to 4," but apparently the Rock Hall and producers of the HBO broadcast have different ideas and as a result, Cetera says he will not show up.

In ending his message to the Hall, Cetera says, "Please send any individual award I receive to the contact you have for me."

Neither the Rock Hall nor Chicago have commented on this latest development.

Cetera left Chicago in 1985 and Seraphine was shown the door in 1990.
