The highly anticipated reboot for Packed To The Rafters is officially in production with a picture from the set released today.

Back to the Rafters, set to be released on Amazon Prime, released the first official image from the set of the reboot today and in doing so they introduced us to our brand new Rachel Rafter.

Following news that Jessica Marais would not be returning to her infamous role, it’s now been revealed that actress Georgina Haig will replace her as the daughter in the Rafter family.

She was pictured alongside OG cast members and her onscreen brothers, Hugh Sheridan who plays Ben Rafter and Angus McLaren who plays Nathan Rafter.

Other newcomers will join the first scripted Australian Amazon Original series for Prime Video, including HaiHa Le, Libby Tanner, Rose Riley, Aaron McGrath, Bruce Spence and newcomers Willow Speers and Kasper Frost.

As for what Back to the Rafters will be about, it’s set to pick up with the infamous Rafter family six years on from when the original series ended.

“Dave and Julie have created a new life in the country with youngest daughter Ruby, while the older Rafter children face new challenges and Grandpa Ted struggles to find his place,” reads the synopsis.

“As Dave enjoys his new found freedom, Julie must reconcile her responsibilities to the family. They might not be under the same roof, but the same honesty, love and laughter bonds them more tightly now than ever before.”

No word yet on when the Packed to the Rafters reboot will be released but we’re waiting on the edge of our seats for this one!
