A handful of episodes of The Muppet Show were slapped with a disclaimer as all five seasons of the kid’s show began streaming on Disney+ on Friday.

The show was filmed from 1976 through 1981 and had guests such as Elton John, Liza Minnelli, Alice Cooper, Julie Andrews, Diana Ross and Mark Hamill.

The disclaimers, added to 18 episodes, are meant to give context to the era they were filmed.

“This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now,” a disclaimer states.

“Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together.”

“Disney is committed to creating stories with inspirational and aspirational themes that reflect the rich diversity of the human experience around the globe.”
