It’s something most of us have done – grabbed a hair brush or shampoo bottle and sung our hearts out to our favourite tunes!
While it’s mostly in the privacy of our own homes or cars, there’s a way you can live your best singer life, while supporting sick children.
The Stella Bella Little Stars Foundation has created the Lockdown Lip Sync Battle to raise money for families with sick kids.
“These families are under a lot more stress at the moment with COVID-19 because they’ve lost a lot of access to services. Their isolation has grown. We can’t even hold a lot of our usual events,” Foundation CEO Suzanne Tunks said.
Participants can pick their favourite song, dress up (if their heart desires), put the stereo on and mime to the words, then upload a video online.
All entries will be judged, before the top 20 compete in a massive Zoom party in June!
“Everyone who enters the battle with get a party pack to have at home with snacks and decorations,” Ms Tunks said.
“It’s a really great opportunity to support the work we do while also having fun in your own home and get together for a big community event.”
It costs just $30 for an entry and family party pack.
